Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCorrection in Place of Service HARRY MOROZ August 12, 1926 - August 21, 2008 Following a lengthy journey with Alzheimer's our beloved Husband, Father, Gido, Geeg , and Friend passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2008 with his family by his side. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Annie; daughters, Patricia Britton, her husband Roy McPhail and children, Paul and wife Michelle, and Eliot; daughter Katherine Brough; daughter Dianne Moroz, her husband Jamie Oliviero and their children Luke and Ben; daughter Judy George, her husband Lamont George and their children Brian and Bradley. He will also be fondly remembered by numerous relatives and friends. Harry was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Barbara; brothers, Joe and Bill; sisters, Nettie Sawatsky, Juliana MacLeod and Mary Gros. Harry was the youngest son of the family born in St. Adolphe on August 12, 1926. He spent his early years in St. Adolphe attending school and working on the family farm. After his marriage in 1951 to Anne Burak of Lorette, they moved to St. Vital in 1955 where he resided until his death. The majority of Harry's career was spent at Canadian Pacific Transport as a city driver. He retired in 1986 after 31 years of dedicated service. Although Harry was always willing to help others in any way, his retirement years afforded him the opportunity to devote more time to Sts. Peter and Paul parish activities. For many years Harry bowled in the church league, worked at church bingo fundraisers, and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Bishop Ladyka Council #9020. In his retirement Harry also discovered a whole new world. He and Annie travelled to Ukraine, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Cook Islands, Australia, New Zealand, Belize, Hawaii and various locations in Canada and the US. In their travels they reacquainted with family and made many new friends. Harry's smile and gentle nature will be missed by his family, friends and the staff and residents at Meadowood Manor where he resided for two years. The caring staff of Meadowood treated not only Harry with kindness and compassion but extended the same courtesy to all members of our family. We offer our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Meadowood Manor. We also offer our thanks to the staff at Victoria Hospital for their professional and emotional support. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, August 26, at 7:00 p.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 390 Marion Street. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 27 at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Rev. Fr. P. Chorney officiating. Interment at Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Harry's grandsons are honoured to be pallbearers. Flowers are gratefully declined.
