DOROTHY RUTH ZASITKO (nee LUTZ) 1934-2008 Peacefully with family by her side, Dorothy left to be in the arms of her Savior on August 24, 2008. Dorothy leaves to mourn her husband Tony of 51 years, son Michael (Geraldine), daughters Myrna (Andy) Friesen, Susan Swiderski, and Linda (Jeff) Choboter. Treasured Grandchildren Cassandra and Troy Friesen, Brendon and Jarrett Swiderski, and Tori and Riley Choboter. Brothers Edwin and Max (Jan) Lutz as well as her furry friend Freddie. Dorothy was a devoted mother, wife, and nanna. She loved family gatherings and was a compassionate and genuine friend. She also found time to give countless hours of volunteering to many church committees, the Transcona senior center, and the heart and stroke foundation. It brought Dorothy great joy being a member of the red hat society, spending time at the lake, making crafts, and attending bible study. Dorothy was a entrepreneur operating her own florist shop, an avid reader, and had a great sense of humor. The family would like to thank all Concordia Hospital staff for their passionate and loving care over the past year. Funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 29, at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 401 Kildare Ave. West. Interment to follow at the Transcona Cemetery.
