RAPHAEL LEGARE (October 23, 1923 - August 25, 2008) Surrounded by love with his family at his side and the gentle hand of our dear Lord, Ralph passed away peacefully on August 25, 2008 at the age of 84. Ralph's memory will be cherished by his devoted family: wife and best friend of 61 years Anita; children Bernie (Connie), Marc (Linda), Renée (Dave), Donna (John), Leonard (Elena), Marina (Tim), Mariette, Marcel (Gabby); grandchildren Kurt (Shantel), Sheldon, Desiree, Jennifer (Chris), Amy (Jeremy), Jared, Nathan, Shawn, Quinn (Liana), Joel, Darcy, Michael (Hitomi), Jordan, Jimmy, Elena, Matthew, Danielle, Michelle, Kimberly, Dru and A.J.; great-grandchildren Stephen, Sam, Alexis, Avery, Austin, Kisei, Nevaeh, Madisen, and Rylan, and numerous nephews and nieces. Ralph was born in Dunrea, Manitoba and moved to Elie with his family in 1960. He farmed for nine years before he worked for Manitoba Pool Elevators for 33 years, and retired in 1988. He will always be remembered for his sense of humour, strong character and commitment to his family. The family would like to thank the staff on the 4th floor Taché Centre for their compassionate care. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Father François Paradis at the Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church in Elie, MB on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Private interment will take place in the Dunrea Parish Cemetery.
