JOHN MARCUS CHRISTENSON November 10, 1916 August 23, 2008 Dad passed away with family at his side at the Grace General Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Saturday, August 23, 2008. He is survived by Flora, his wife of 66 years and his two daughters Beverley and Christene. Beverley (Ralph Herget) of Winnipeg, their son Rory ( Kelly) great-grandchildren Connor and Anna of P.E.I. and their daughter Danielle (Christian Schmidt) great-granddaughter Madison of Winnipeg; Christene of Kelowna, B.C. and her family Regan Steiger (Jody) great- grandson Reid of Kelowna and Doug Enright (Grace) great-grandson Dawson of Salmon Arm. Dad is survived by one brother, William and many nieces and nephews. Mom and Dad lived and farmed in the Bienfait, Saskatchewan area and retired to Abbotsford, British Columbia in 1980. They enjoyed an active life of bowling, golf, fishing and travel and made many lasting friendships. In 2003 they moved to Winnipeg to be closer to family. Our Dad was a gentle man who lived for his family. He was an honest and hard working person who valued his relationships with his family above all else. We will miss how his face lit up when we visited him, his laughter and the twinkle in his eye. As Dad requested, a private family service will be held. Dad, forever remembered by your family as the most loving of men.
