LENORE MURIEL O'ROURKE (CLEMENS)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLENORE MURIEL O'ROURKE (nee CLEMENS) Lenore Muriel O'Rourke (nee Clemens) was born Wednesday, June 20, 1928 in St. Anthony's Hospital, The Pas. She was the youngest of eight children. She met and married James Ernest O'Rourke, February 15, 1947 in St. Mary's Cathedral in Winnipeg. Ern worked for the C.N.R., and they moved to The Pas during the flood of 1950 . Lenore was a gentle, loving, spiritual person. She passed away Friday, August 15, 2008 at St. Paul's Personal Care Home, The Pas, after a long illness, surrounded by her family. Lenore is survived by her children: Maureen (Ron) Monczka, Danny (Darlene) O'Rourke, Geraldine (Wayne) Kennedy, Teresa O'Rourke, Karen (Gerry) Polischuk, Sharon (Marc) Sutton, Kevin (Pam) O'Rourke, Michael (Alison) O'Rourke, and Patricia (Kelly) Hayes; her sister: Bette Clearwater, and brother: John Clemens. She had 25 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and also numerous other relatives. Lenore was predeceased by her husband James (April 22, 1985), her parents John and Tressa Clemens; brothers, Jim (Marg) Clemens, Clarence (Faye) Clemens; sisters, Jean (Jerry) Camreau, Irene (Jack) Cashmore, Marie (Charles) O'Rourke; niece, Anne O'Rourke; nephew, Jim Clearwater. A Christian Wake Service was held Sunday, August 17, 2008, 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, The Pas. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, August 18, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cathedral with Archbishop Sylvian Levoie, OMI, Rev. Paul Bringleson, and Rev. Bill Stang, OMI presiding. Interment took place in Lakeside Cemetery, The Pas. If friends so desire, donations to The Pas Health Complex Foundation, Inc., Box 541, The Pas, Manitoba, R9A 1K4 for the purchase of a family comfort cart for St. Paul's Residence would be appreciated by Lenore's family.
