SHELDON ALFRED CARLSON March 14, 1960 August 26, 2008 Peacefully, on Tuesday, August 26, Sheldon passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital. He fought a great fight against diabetes right to the end. Sheldon resided in Brooklands all his life. He was always willing to lend a hand when asked. He was able to stay in the family home, because of the love and dedication of his sisters Beverley and Rosemary. Sheldon leaves behind his remaining siblings and large extended family; Afrey and Rudy LeBlanc, Alice Engel, George, Beverley, Evelyn and Lionel Chaput, Larry and Rita, Rosemary and Greg Close, Glen and Judy, Rick and Lisa, Debbie and Ken Burky, Sylvia and Doug Halliet and his faithful companion Reba. Sheldon was predeceased by his mom Alma (2007), dad Alfred (1975), brothers Edward (1968), and Allan (2003). Thank you to the wonderful nurses on Unit 5 who took great care of our brother and to his nurse Grace Greenham. Also to Doug Harkness for being his driver and coffee buddy. If friends desire, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200 310 Broadway, R3C 0S6 or Pet Rescue on Portage (D'Arcy's ARC, 1793 Portage Avenue, R3J 0E8) may be made in Sheldon's name. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., with viewing from 6:30, Tuesday, September 2 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue, Aubrey Street entrance.
