BURNICE MARION LUNNEY Suddenly and peacefully, Burnice Lunney, aged 65 years, of Arnes, MB, beloved wife of Douglas, passed away at the Gimli Community Health Center. Burnice was born in Russell, MB and moved at an early age to Winnipeg where she received her education. She was employed in the restaurant business for most of her life. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and fish pond in the back yard in Bayshore Heights. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 182, Gimli. Burnice was very fond of her nieces and was looking forward to attending the wedding in Thunder Bay this fall. Besides her beloved husband, Doug, she leaves surviving a brother Louis (Wanda) and nieces, Kristin and Tracey. She was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Anne Perozik and a brother Lorne. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, September 2 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli with Pastor Jaycen Snider officiating. Special thanks to the Gimli RCMP, the ambulance attendants and the staff at the Gimli Hospital for all their special effort. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg R3L 0K6. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli in care of arrangements.
