CAROL LORRAINE BANCROFT (nee MASON) 1945 - 2008 A heart of gold stopped beating, peacefully, on Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Carol will be greatly missed by her loving and devoted husband, Allan; her pride and joy, her precious son Ivan Thomas; her parents, Alfred and Evelyn Mason; her siblings, Reg (Mary Ann), Gerri, Elaine, Debra (Roy) and Kevin, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Carol, we have many cherished memories; you will always be in our hears and we will miss you dearly. At Carol's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the St. Jude Anglican Church, 36 - 106 Hwy. #12 in Grand Marais, Manitoba on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Roy Bowkett will officiate. Interment of Carol's cremated remains will take place in the St. Jude Cemetery, Grand Marais, following the service. I'M FREE Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free I'm following paths Gods laid for me. I took his hand, I heard His call... and turned and bid farewell to all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work and play, tasks left undone must stay that way. I found my peace...at close of day. And if my parting left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, as kiss, ah yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened...deep with sorrow, I wish you sunshine for tomorrow. My life's been full...I've savoured much, Good friends, good times... aloved one's touch.
