JEAN (MARY MARGARET JANE) HOLLAND (nee GRANT) Born in 1919, Jean moved on to once again dance with her beloved husband Les on Friday, August 29, 2008. Jean, Les and their family moved to Teulon, Manitoba in 1948. She worked as a nurse's aide at Hunter Memorial Hospital from 1960 to 1973. She was actively involved in helping Les in the Teulon Gymnastics Club from 1950 to 1981 and was a 4H leader for many years. Jean was also an active member of the Teulon United Church, United Church Circle, the Agricultural Society, Junior Hospital Guild, Women's Institute, Teulon Curling Club and was instrumental in having the Art Centre moved from Stonewall to Teulon. Jean found great joy in participating in the annual Santa Claus and Teulon Days parades. She had a great deal of fun planning costumes for any event where she could dress herself and others. In later years one of her favourite hobbies was clogging. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Minnie Grant (nee Kerwin), her loving husband Les and her daughter Patricia Dawn Brownlee, she will be forever missed by her daughter Bunny (Fred Philpott), her grandchildren Susan, Lynne and Russell (Cheryl) Brownlee; Kerri and Morene Philpott and her great-grandchildren Michael, Maya, Emily and Emma as well as special friend Debbie, Justin and Aaron and many nieces and nephews. As per Jean's wishes, there will be no services. Her wish was you go out for ice cream and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, please buy yourself a flower and say it was from Jean.
