ANNETTE MARIE LOUISE GOBEIL July 25, 1939 - August 30, 2008 Peacefully with her family by her side our mother passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on August 30, 2008. After a long courageous battle with schleroderma, Annette succumbed to her illness. She was predeceased by her mother Alphosine Desmarais on April 1, 2007. Annette is survived by her husband Denis of 50 years, her three sons, Donald (Barb), Eugene (Lee-Anne), Denis (Laurice) and her daughter Lorraine (Paul). Grandchildren, Chris (Jen), Darnel, Derarae, Arion, Natalie, Denis Jr., Melanie, Mackenzie, Morgan, Justin and Colin. Mom was born in St. Boniface and attended L'Academy St. Joseph. After marrying Denis they moved to Transcona where they raised their family. Mom was always the happiest when we were at her side. She will be missed by all that knew her. She was a devoted mother and wife. The family would like to thank the staff at the ICU especially Theresa, Leo and Dr. Resnuik for their kindness through a difficult time. At her request cremation has taken place and Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be held on Friday September 5 at 10:30 a.m. in the Notre Dame De L'Assomption Catholic Church, 609 Leola Street. Mother, we will miss you so, you have shown us great strength. We wish you well on your safe journey. Guide us and protect us till we meet again, (Coeur de Maman).
