GLEN JERRY DUCHARME It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the untimely passing of Glen Jerry Ducharme, age 57 on September 1, 2008 with his family and friends by his side after a lengthy and arduous illness. Glen is survived by his loving wife, best friend and soul mate of 29 years, Linda; his two loves of his life and apples of his eyes; daughters Danielle (Jeff) and Natalie (Scott). He is also survived by his mother Alice, mother-in-law Janet and 13 brothers and sisters. From a very early age, Glen learned and practised a strong work ethic. When married in 1979, he started his own company G/L Designs which together with Linda operated for 26 years. He took pride in the work his company produced-printing for companies Canada wide and within the community. He always wanted his customers to be satisfied and his staff to feel like family. The quality of work Glen produced and his knowledge of printing made him well respected within the industry. Unfortunately his illness progressed faster than his family ever imagined and he was not able to enjoy a retirement or that Harley he so deserved. While in good health, Glen and his family were fortunate to have been able to enjoy their travels. Together they wintered in Florida and Hawaii, had fun Griswald family vacations out west, enjoyed jazz in New Orleans and always made time for Vegas getaways. It's nice to have those memories of such wonderful family times together. Glen was an avid curler and true golf nut. He always had his Cuban cigars and refreshments' in his bag for his buddies on hand. All knew Glen for his robust sense of humor and his infectious smile. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Glen's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2008 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with a private interment at a later date. Our family wishes to thank all whom have helped us through this most difficult journey. To our loving friends who have always had an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on, to caring and patient doctors who have tended to Glen's health and his family's too. And to Glen's most caring extended family at AB1 Riverview ~ Thank you to all. Together you made Glen's life peaceful with dignity to the end. Our family's wish to all of you is unspoiled health and happiness. Glen would have wished for that too. Respecting Glen's love for his four legged furry kids, Maggie and Angus, flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in his honor may instead be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or to a charity of your choice. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550
