MICHAEL DUCHOMINSKY It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of a husband, father, grandfather, Michael Duchominsky, on August 29, 2008, at his residence in Winnipeg. Michael was born on November 19, 1944, to Paul and Katherine (Goletz) Duchominsky at Erickson, Manitoba. He lived in Rackham, MB and took his schooling in Sandy Lake. He worked at various jobs in St. Catherines, Ont., and Winnipeg. At present, he worked with the Manitoba Highways Dept. for the last 25 years. He was a great sports minded person. He liked the Toronto Blue Jays, Montreal Canadiens and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Michael is survived by his wife, Janice of 35 years, daughter Kimberley and fiancé Pete Gerardy and grandson Owen; son, David, all of Winnipeg; brother Peter (Liz) Duchominsky; sisters: Virginia Ewashko and brother-in-law John Ewashko, Lillian (Adam) Bartmanovich; mother-in-law Helen Derhak, sister-in-laws: Diane Bachewich, Angela (Ken) Brookman, brother-in-laws: Gary (Doreen) Derhak, Dennis (Darlene) Derhak, John (Joan) Derhak, Allan (Nancy) Derhak, Lloyd Jones and many uncles, aunties, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant son, his parents, brother Wesley (Edna) Duchominsky, father-in-law Stephen Derhak, brother-in-law Michael Bachewich, sister-in-law Darlene Sichewski and nephew Jeffery Bartmanovich. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church (North), Sandy Lake, Manitoba. Father Bob Kennaugh will officiate. Remembrances and condolences may be emailed to raesfs@mts.net In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Michael's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to CancerCare Manitoba.
