RONALD KENNETH WILSON (APPLE) It is with deep regret that we announce the sudden passing of Ron (Apple) Wilson at the Grace Hospital on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at the age of 60. He is survived by his children Melissa, Everett, Shannon (and her family) and Jordan. He is also survived by his father Harold and mother Orla, his brothers James (in Winnipeg) and Allan (Sandra) in Calgary and Allan's children Roxane (Glen), Jason (Pam) and Gregg (Kate) and their families. Also surviving him is his favourite sister Orpha and her children Doug (Lisa) and Sheryl (Chris) and their families. Ron was born in Winnipeg on May 11, 1948, and worked for CP Rail as a blacksmith before moving to British Columbia in 1972, where he became a loyal fan of the B.C. Lions. For a number of years he worked at the CanFor mill, before returning to Winnipeg in 1993. Ap was known to have a big heart, and all his friends knew that if they had a job for him to help with, he would do his part to get the work done. He was especially fond of cooking, and was always looking for new recipes to try. He loved to be on his bicycle from April to October, travelling across the city to help wherever he could. He always had a soft spot in his heart for children, and will not be forgotten by the many children and grandchildren of his friends and relatives. The family would like to thank his loyal friends who have stepped in to help the family in their time of sorrow. The kindnesses that you have shown will always be remembered, and we know your memories of Ron will live on.
