Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE BRYDON SMITH Born in Winnipeg, MB on March 31, 1920. Passed away peacefully in Parksville, BC on August 30, 2008. Predeceased by his loving wife, Hazel, he will be greatly missed and always remembered by his son Ken; daughters, Karen and Cindy; grandchildren, Kaeleigh, Ashley, Richard and Jason; great-grandson Tayson. George was a member of the RCAF and served overseas during the Second World War. George and Hazel opened their hearts and home to numerous foster children. George had a passion for animals of all types and had a hobby farm for many years. George was a gentle soul with a wonderful sense of humour who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel on Saturday, September 6 in Nanaimo, BC. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
