Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryB. MARJORIE BRADLEY (nee TAYLOR) June 9, 1908 - August 7, 2008 B. Marjorie (Marge) Bradley passed away peacefully on August 7, 2008, surrounded by her family at her home in Winnipeg. Marge celebrated her 100th birthday on June 9, 2008, still living in St. James where she was born and grew up. She worked for some years as a hairdresser before she married Edwin (Ted) Bradley in 1943. The war years took them to Toronto and St. Thomas, after which they returned to St. James to raise their family. She is predeceased by her husband, Ted, and her brother, Arthur Taylor. Marge was surrounded by dear friends and family throughout her life. She was particularly close to the ladies of her monthly sewing club and was adept at knitting and crocheting all her adult life. She was for many years an active parishioner at the St. James Anglican Church and at various times served as dorcas secretary and president of the Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed many family trips to Greenwood, BC to visit her brother, Art Taylor and family. While their children were in school, Marge and Ted were active in square dancing clubs in Winnipeg. Later, they took up old-time dancing with a senior citizen's group at the St. James Civic Centre. In recent years she was active in The Getaway Club at Deer Lodge Centre. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Mackey and son-in-law Donald Mackey of Winnipeg; her son Robert Bradley and daughter-in-law Risa Freeman of New York; her granddaughter Janet Babineau of Winnipeg; her grandson Stephen Mackey of Winnipeg, and her three great-grandsons, Richard, Robert, and Andrew. Many thanks to the nurses and caregivers at Homecare Palliative Care. THOMSON FUNERAL HOME 669 Broadway - 783-7211 Send expressions of sympathy at www.mem.com.
