PATRICIA LYNN CLARK (LEONARD) June 18, 1955 - September 5, 2008 It is with both pride and sorrow we announce the passing of Patti after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer. Those blessed to have experienced her love and strength are her partner of 13 years and soul mate Scotty; son Roger; daughter Elizabeth; son-in-law Tim, grandson Charlie (the cheese man), sister Donna (Bob) and niece Amber, The McCoy Family, close friends Debbie, Valerie, Michelle, Diane and many more family and friends as well as her furry friend, Cracker. Pat will also be missed by friends and co-workers at the University of Manitoba, where she worked for over 20 years. Pat was an amazing cook who loved to entertain her family and friends. She enjoyed going on road trips, camping, and going to the lake, but was always eager to return to her and Scotty's haven in Sunny St. Norbert . Pat adored gardening and every May she could not wait to get out to the greenhouses. Her gardens were beautiful all season long. Bringing a smile to not only her face but all those she could share it with. Pat was an awesome, loving and devoted Mum and Grammy. She was able to be there for the birth of her first grandchild. Pat was also very proud to have been able to walk her daughter and carry her grandson down the aisle at Tim and Elizabeth's wedding this past May. Pat loved her children with all her heart and never judged them, but accepted them for exactly who they are. Due to the loving devotion from Scotty and the support from her children and many friends, Patti was able to stay at home during the latter part of her battle. This would not have been possible without the help from home care staff and palliative care nurses. Patti spent her last few days at Riverview Health Centre. She and her family would like to extend a thank you to the staff for their compassion and genuine understanding. Pat was a strong woman. It was that strength and determination that carried her through her illness. All the while never losing her sense of humour or sarcastic wit. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel of Voyage Home, 1531 Pembina Hwy. at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 9. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Pat's memory to Manitoba CancerCare. Your smile and spirit will be with us always. Your are free now go gracefully in Peace. XOXO
