Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEANNE SZMIGELSKI (nee PIETRUSHKA) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeanne on September 5, 2008 at Concordia Hospital with her husband and family at her side. Jeanne will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Kaspar; her children Wanda (Gordon), Blanche (Tony), Lynda (Danny) and Michael (Bev); grandchildren Jeff, Shawn (Belinda), Blair (Colleen), Todd (Kim), Derek, Dana (Chris) and Shannon (Bill); great grandchildren; two sisters Kay and Stella; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Jeanne was predeceased by her parents and two sisters. Jeanne was born in Winnipeg Beach on August 15, 1922 and moved to Riverton in 1942 after marrying Kaspar. Throughout her life, she enjoyed crafts, sewing, knitting, gardening, ceramics, macramé and baking; sharing her many culinary talents/skills with many family and friends. She was an active member at the Senior Club, participating in many activities there. Mom was also an avid sports enthusiast, whether attending or watching sporting events on T.V. Special thanks to all her caregivers that attended to her in her home, as well as the staff at Concordia Hospital, especially 3 West. In accordance to her wishes, there will be a private family service and interment will take place at the St. William's Cemetery, Winnipeg Beach. Active pallbearers will be her grandchildren Jeff, Derek, Blair, Todd, Shannon and Dana. Flowers are gratefully declined and donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
