BRIAN REDMOND (BUCK) WELFLEY It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Brian (Buck) Welfley at Seven Oaks Hospital on Saturday, September 6, 2008. Buck was born August 30, 1926 to Roy and Kathleen Welfley. Buck enjoyed his retirement from the Manitoba Government, Department of Finance and kept busy with volunteer work, square dancing and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Norwood Council 3538. He was a lifelong fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for whom he briefly played. Buck will be lovingly remembered by his wife Denise, sons John and Michael, grandchildren Samuel and Veronika, their mother Kim and sister-in-law Dorothee DaDalt. A special thank you to the Seven Oaks Hospital 3rd and 4th floor staff, sisters Louise and Patricia S.N.J.M., Marilyn Begg, Rachel Remillard, family and friends and the residents of St. Peter and Paul Manor for their prayers and support during this difficult time. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church, 252 Dubuc Street on Thursday, September 11 at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. David Brabant officiating.
