GRAY MARGARET McKAY (nee CONN) November 15, 1938 - September 6, 2008 Wrapped in the warmth of family love, laughter, friendship and respect Gray moved on to The Next Place in life's journey on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the age of 69. She was predeceased by her brother Douglas, her father James, her mother Dorothy and her granddaughter Hayley. Remaining to forever share her memory are husband George; daughters, Joy Belton and Karen Ross (Graeme); sons, Larry and Murray (Janice); brother Kent Conn (Gayle); and uncle Glen Hubbs (Josephine). Gramma also will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Colin and Aidan; Chris, Melisa and Danielle; Joshua; and Ashlynne and Skyllar; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gray was born November 15, 1938 in Indian Head, SK, where she was raised and took her primary schooling. She attended high school and took her secretarial training in Regina. There she met George and they were married on October 31, 1959, and raised four super children while living in Regina, Melfort, SK, Brandon, MB, Ottawa, ON, Norway House, MB and finally in Winnipeg. In Winnipeg, Gray worked as a Computer Word Processor for the Canadian Forces until her retirement in 1995. Gray enjoyed computer work, all types of machine sewing, curling, gardening, travelling and golf. She and George operated the concession at the Kingswood Golf and Country Club on a volunteer basis every Saturday for 12 years and she dearly loved the Kingswood family ; management, staff, volunteers and members and had a great rapport with all of the golfers. The family would like to thank everyone for their support, good wishes and prayers during her illness. A special appreciation is expressed to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the St. Boniface Hospital (8th floor) for their tender, loving, compassionate care. Their empathy was marvelous. In lieu of flowers, would you please consider making a contribution to CancerCare Manitoba or to the Palliative Care Program. Gray's wishes were that cremation takes place with a private family interment service. A short memorial celebration with friends and relatives will take place at Crestview United Church on Thursday, September 18, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
