Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEGIDIO (LITTLE GIG/JAKE) GIGLIOTTI Jake died on September 5, 2008 at St. Boniface Hospital. Jake was born on February 10, 1932. He was predeceased by his father (Fred) and mother (Paolina). A brother (Tom), two sisters (Sylvia and Mary), a number of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, plus longtime companion, Karen, remain to cherish his memory. He was a staunch Winnipeger with a solid interest in sports having played football (Kelvin and Weston) and baseball (Columbus Club) in his prime. His working career was with Winnipeg Hydro as a Stationary Engineer. Jake was a kind and generous individual, almost to a fault, and showed it to his family and friends continually. Our thanks to the nurses and doctors of the 5th and 6th floors at St. Boniface for their care and compassion throughout his stay. A funeral mass will be held Friday, September 12 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. with reception to follow in the church hall. To the family and friends of Jake, I just want you to know that Jake was a very special person to me. We have been friends for 25 years. I was blessed to have been able to visit Jake one last time this summer on my long over due trip home. He was a very significant person in my life and I was able to express my gratitude in person.
