MARY JAWORSKI Peacefully on September 8, 2008, Mary Jaworski joined her parents Frances and Michael, sister Eleanor Nichol of Blenheim, Ontario, brother Ted of Oakville and sisters, Jan Kwasny and Terry Wojcikowski of Winnipeg, Manitoba. She is survived by her brother Joseph; brother-in-law Herman Wojcikowski of Winnipeg; sister Pearl Wright of Toronto and sister-in-law Monica Jaworski of Oakville, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mary was born on March 24, 1919 in Winnipeg, the second of seven children. After the Winnipeg General Strike she moved to Tyndall, Manitoba, where she spent many happy years on the farm. In 1939 she worked for Canada Car in Fort William, Ontario and then moved to Toronto where she worked at a munitions factory. She proudly served as a member of the Women's Army Corps in Victoria, BC. She returned to Tyndall where she resided with her parents. She lived out her remaining years in Winnipeg and was a member of Holy Cross Parish. Mary was a devout Catholic who always reminded us that faith in God was important. She was proud of her Polish heritage especially when the first Polish Pope John Paul II was elected. She was quick witted with an infectious laugh and a big heart. Thank you to the dedicated staff at St. Boniface Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Sacred Heart Parish in Garson, Manitoba with interment at Garson Cemetery.
