RICHARD MATHEW SEMENIUK, M.A., B.A. (HONS.) January 3, 1954 - September 3, 2008 Born in Selkirk Manitoba, it is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear Rick, peacefully at Queen's Park Care Centre, hospice in New Westminster, BC. Rick was predeceased by his father Matt, in 1991. He leaves behind to mourn, his mother Berith Stieben, sister, Gail Clements-Anand (husband Naveen) along with a large extended family and many friends. Rick grew up in Narol, Manitoba and in his younger years enjoyed back-packing through Europe. He attended Red River Community College and later the University of Winnipeg where he received a B.A. degree with honours. Subsequently, he continued on and attained a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Simon Fraser University. Rick enjoyed reading, movies and conversing with friends. Rick was employed by the Salvation Army, Belkin House, prior to his passing. He was a kind, gentle soul and will be greatly missed by us all. A celebration of Rick's life was held at the Masonic Hall, on September 6, 2008. Rest in peace, we will always have you in our hearts.
