BERNADETTE LABOSSIERE (NEE MARION) February 22, 1910 September 11, 2008 Peacefully at Foyer Valade on Thursday, September 11, 2008, Bernadette, our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away at the age of 98 years. Bernadette leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her loving memory, sons: Norman (Laurette), Ralph (Doreen) and Aime (Lucille); grandchildren: Raynald (Gisele), Diane (Russell) Minsky, Brian, Garry (Sharon), Lisa, Kevin (Patti), Jackie (Eduardo) Barreto and Teresa; great-grandchildren: Denis, Chanelle, Taylor, Celine, Brianne, Ariana and Amelie; sister-in-law: Evelyn Marion; as well as several nieces and nephews and numerous friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest in 1961; her parents, Oscar and Rosena Marion and all nine of her siblings. Bernadette was a strong, courageous woman with deep faith. Though she faced many challenges in her lifetime, she had a zest for life which she shared with others, along with her amazing sense of humour. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, music, dancing, knitting, crocheting, and playing cards. Bernadette took a keen interest in her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren and cherished moments with them. She will be sadly missed. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Foyer Valade for their loving care, compassion and dedication during her eight years there. Cremation has taken place. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 135 John Forsyth Road, Winnipeg, MB. Interment will follow at 4:30 p.m. at the St. Leon Parish Cemetery, St. Leon, MB.
