ANNA NEUFELD After a brief battle with cancer, Anna Neufeld went home to be with her Lord on September 13, 2008. She remained active in her community and in her church, even while living in a Seniors Residence, doing volunteer work right to the end. Predeceased by her brother Heinz in 1949; her son Henry in 1998; and her husband John in 1999; she is survived by her sister Elsa Klassen; two children Irene (Henry) Peters and Gerhard (Annemarie); seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Family thanks Donwood Manor, Pastors, Chaplains, health care workers, nurses and doctors in the E.R. and on 3N at Concordia Hospital for the care they showed our Mother. Devotional gathering at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service at Portage Avenue Church, 1420 Portage Avenue on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Donations to Mennonite Central Committee, 134 Plaza Drive, Winnipeg, R3T 5K9.
