FREDERICK CHARLES ORCHARD Peacefully on September 13, 2008 at Carman Memorial Hospital, Fred Orchard passed away at the age of 83 years. Fred is survived by his wife Eleanor and children, Bryan (Crystal), Bruce (Colleen), Carol, Wayne (Kyla); grandsons, Austin, Liam, Ryan; sister Shirley Liable; and Bill and Lillian Hildebrand and families. Fred was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Isabel Orchard; sister Marjorie; brother-in-law Archie Liable and parents-in-law Fred and Kay Gibson. Along with spending his time doing electrical work and farming, he enjoyed square dancing and calling for the Bar 8 Square Dance Club. He was a member of the Carman Fair Board, United Grain Growers and All Saints Anglican Church. Fred enjoyed canvassing for the United Way, fishing, curling, cribbage and crokinole. Fred considered everyone he met a friend. Fred was a kind man, contented with his family, his country living, friends and pets, and to him there was no place like home. A celebration service will be held at the Carman United Church on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
