FLORENCE ST. ONGE (nee KLEMAS) Peacefully, on Saturday, September 13, 2008, Florence passed away at Misericordia Place at the age of 83 years. Born in Winnipeg to parents Minnie and John Klemas, Florence was the youngest of 12 siblings. Left to mourn her passing is her sister Elise Hallick and numerous nieces and nephews. A diamond, rough around the edges but beautiful inside this was Florence. She had a kind heart and was most charitable, especially to underprivileged children. She was a private person and kept her affairs to herself, however she could be very vocal to let you know what she was thinking; very independent; rarely asked for help and lived her life her way. Florence was a collector of dolls, gadgets and Christmas memorabilia; trees, lights, mechanical Santas and ornaments adorned her apartment. Being a child raised during the depression years did not allow money for extras, not even a doll. Her doll collection started with her first pay cheque and never stopped. Florence was a loyal Burns' employee with over 40 years of service. After retiring, she became a member of the Tache Senior Centre. Sincere thanks to the dedicated staff at Misericordia Health Centre, 5th floor, for their tender loving care and understanding.
