JOHN ONSOWICH It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of John Onsowich announce his sudden but peaceful passing after a full life of 81 years, on Friday, September 12, 2008 with his family at his bedside. John was born December 20, 1926 in Cooks Creek, Manitoba. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Adele; children, Ken (Margret), Irene (George), Edward (Val) and Don (Doragene); grandchildren, Jason, Tina, Bonnie, Jonathan, Mandy, Dylan, Taylor; brother Mitch and brother-in-law John. He was predeceased by his sisters, Ann and Lillian; brother-in-law Bob and sister-in-law Stella. While owning and operating electrical contracting and spray foam insulation companies, John never lost touch with his farming roots. He also found time to enjoy golfing, travel and watching his favourite baseball team, the Bluejays. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the ICU staff at Concordia Hospital for their care and compassion. Memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 18 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Children's Wish Foundation.
