GILLES BERARD (PEPERE) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gilles Bérard on September 16, 2008 at the age of 66. He will be sadly missed by his wife Thérèse (nee Maynard) of 45 years; his son Joël, and daughters Carol Whitman (Craig) and Angel Delorme (Rene); and grandchildren Natasha and Evan Whitman. Gilles was a loyal Winnipeg Transit driver with over 20 years of service. He spent his summers at Netley Resorts where he was well known as 7 Sheds Bérard for all his tools used to help out his neighbours. His passion was hockey and he was very dedicated to the St. Norbert Community Centre. He was his grandchildren's biggest hockey fan. He never missed a practice or game and was affectionately known as Pepere at the rink. As per Dad's wishes, no funeral will be held. A come and go celebration of life will be held at the Eagles Club 3459 Pembina Hwy. from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2008. Sincere thanks to the compassionate staff at the St. Boniface Emergency for their loving care and understanding. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Gilles' name to the St. Norbert Community Club Hockey Program at 3450 Pembina Hwy.
