BRADLEY (BRAD) DAVID PLUMMER It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Brad on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Brad will be sadly missed by his loving wife Cathy; his dog Moe; mother Barb Plummer; his sister Cheryl Maines; mother and father-in-law Vivian and Elmer Bassett; sisters-in-law, Dianne (Ed) Gramiak, Colleen (Norm) McNiven and Kim Bassett; brothers-in-law, Wayne Bassett, Dennis (Barb) Bassett and many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Stan in 1967. Brad was born in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba on December 11, 1956 and moved to Winnipeg with his parents in 1964. He attended elementary school in St. James and graduated from Sturgeon Creek Collegiate. Brad was employed by Carter Day Industries from 1977 to 1992. During that time, he represented the company in Saskatoon, SK from 1984 to 1987. In 1993, he became a partner in Cimbria Technologies Canada Inc., a company he was very proud of and worked hard for. He was an avid Blue Bomber fan, having attended many Grey Cups with his football buddies. He also enjoyed the annual fly-in fishing trips to northern Ontario with his business associates. Brad loved cars and recently restored his 1969 Dodge Dart that he used to drag race at Gimli. Brad and Cathy also loved to travel to Europe, Mexico and the west coast. Most of all, he loved to spend time at the cottage and with family and friends. A celebration of Brad's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Drive. Special thanks to the staff at Riverview Health Centre and to CancerCare Manitoba for their kindness and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, P.O. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Dear Family and Friends! Although I only met Brad 2 or 3 times in my life, I knew that he was a very special and precious person. This was the first thing that was obvious when looking into his clear eyes. It was a privilege to know him, may god guerdon him abundantly! - Posted by: Andreas Fröhlich (Co-Worker) on: Sep 21, 2008
