Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE SANDERS (nee SALAMANSKI) A prayer service will be held on Monday, September 29 at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg, for Rose Sanders, 82, who passed away in Kitchener, Ontario on July 2, 2008. Interment of the ashes at Elmwood Cemetery, 88 Hespeler Avenue immediately following. Rose was devoted to her son Craig Sanders and his wife Carolyn, and to her son David Sanders, his wife Renee and children Phoebe and Naomi. She was a loving and attentive aunt, cousin and friend to many. Rose was predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Eleanor, her sister Marie and her brother John. Rose was born in Winnipeg on October 23, 1925, and excelled in school and in her career. She won the Governor General's Gold Medal, was a professional model, and an artist in the advertising department of the Hudson's Bay Company. She achieved a successful career in marketing and advertising art, loved life in Toronto, and in 1963 made her final move to Kitchener where she cherished her family and home for 45 years. Rose volunteered her time and talent to The May Court Club of Kitchener-Waterloo over many years in support of women, children and local charitable organizations. She loved art, reading, music, and was a member of the Opera Club and two bridge clubs. Rose shared her joy of living with her children, her many close friends and loving family members.
