Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELSIE MARGUERITE ANNABLE (nee LOCKERBY, PAXTON) On September 10, 2008, at the age of 94, Elsie passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital. She is survived by her cherished family, daughter Laraine Coll, three granddaughters, Kathleen (Neil) Randall, Susan (Mike) Manahan, and Erin (Sean) Crawford, and four great- grandchildren Megan and Evan Crawford, Jenna Randall, and Matthew Manahan. Also surviving are a sister Anna (Doug) Davidson and sister-in-law Fern Lockerby, and many nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, step-sons Frank (Esther) Annable, Lloyd (Bertha) Annable, Doreen Hagemier, Joan (Sandy) Clancy, and their families. Elsie was predeceased by her first husband John Paxton (1965), her second husband Claude (1991), her son-in-law Rev. Roger Coll (2001), her parents Alex and Mary Lockerby, three brothers and five sisters, Marjorie, Janet, John, Jim, David, Isabel, Florence, and Frances. Elsie was born at the farm home near Neelin, MB in January 1914. She received her education at Neelin and attended Normal School in Brandon, MB. Her career in teaching began in a one-room schoolhouse in Rural Manitoba then moving to Winnipeg, retiring after teaching 37 years in 1973. She enjoyed a long retirement traveling, doing many crafts ~ crocheting, knitting, and her favourite, petit point. Her greatest interests were reading, keeping up with politics and her church. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2008 at Harrow United Church, 955 Mulvey Avenue. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550
