PAULINE WIWCHARENKO (nee ZARETSKI) Peacefully on Friday, September 19, 2008, Pauline at the age of 76 years was called to be with our Lord. Her husband Nicholas, who passed away September 23, 2007, predeceases her. She will be sadly missed and loving remembered by her immediate family, Roy (Patricia), Mervin (Janice), Dian (Vern), Cindy (Glenn) and grandchildren, Alexandra, Caitlin, Jennifer, Michael, Tanya, Candace, Matthew, Rianna, and James. She will also be fondly remembered by many extended family and friends. Pauline was born on January 20, 1932 and was raised in Pine Ridge, Manitoba. In 1953, Pauline married Nicholas and together they raised their four children. Mom and Dad were both extremely proud of their children and grandchildren. Mom had a strong belief in God and was a modest person who enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved animals and enjoyed the outdoors very much, tending to her garden and flowers. Mom always had a green thumb , enjoyed cooking, canning, and liked to experiment with her own recipes. She made excellent pies, perogies and cabbage rolls, which were enjoyed by all. Throughout the years, mom loved picking the fruits of nature , she found near her home. Mom was very kind and patient and never placed demands on her family or on others. Her greatest gift was that she accepted people for who they were. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all the staff at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg for their kindness and caring, they provided to Mom during her brief stay. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, September 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street. Father Kowch will officiate funeral service on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Cooks Creek, Manitoba. Interment to follow at Birds Hill Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family desire, memorial contributions can be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
