Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH GISSING (nee MCCLINTOCK) 1922-2008 Peacefully on Saturday, September 20, 2008 in Concordia Hospital at the age of 86 years. She was predeceased by her husband Harold, sister Nena, three brothers Tom, Johnny and Harry and her parents Sam and Martha McClintock. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Edgar, daughter Kathleen (Paul) of Chilliwack, B.C., granddaughters Anne and Emily, great- grandson Linden, close family friends Barry and Darlene Drybrough, Karen and Irwin Kumka and numerous nephews and nieces. Elizabeth was born and raised in Deloraine, Manitoba, married her husband Harold in Montreal during the war and lived her life in Winnipeg. A dedicated Blue Bomber Fan. She also enjoyed attending the opera, needlepoint and knitting leaving many treasures for her family to remember her by. Her home was her castle. She enjoyed doing things such as gardening and catering to her family whom she loved dearly. In keeping with Mom's wishes, a graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom's memory may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6.
