MARY MANDZIUK Mary Mandziuk of Osoyoos passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 21 at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 93 years. Her parents Elias and Mary Starosilec came to Canada in 1908. Mary was predeceased by husband William of 72 years in 2007; brothers Michael and William and sisters Pauline, Anne and Kathleen. Left to mourn her are sons Leonard (Lois) of Osoyoos, BC and Bruce (Terry) of Burnaby, BC; grandchildren Glenn (Alleson), Lisa and Heather; great-grandchild Emma as well as many nieces and nephews. Mary was born on June 12, 1915 in Winnipeg, MB and spent most of her life there until moving to Osoyoos in 2006. She lived in her own apartment until moving to the Sagebrush Lodge. The family would like to thank the staff at the Sagebrush Lodge for their kind and diligent care over the last year and Dr. Tarr and the staff at the South Okanagan General Hospital for their compassionate care to her and the family in the last week. If friends desire donations may be made in Mary's memory to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada. Arrangements entrusted to Graham Funeral Home, Osoyoos Oliver, BC.
