HENRY PETER FROESE Peacefully and with his family at his side, our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away at the Selkirk Hospital at the age of 90 on Friday, September 19, 2008. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tina; his sons Donald and Henry (Deborah); his grandsons, Kyle, Daniel and Cole; and numerous relatives and friends. Henry was predeceased by his father, Peter; his mother Katharina (Paetkau); siblings, Peter (1907), Katarina (1920), Agatha (1920), Lena (1920) Emma (1920) and Peter (2002), and his daughter Ruth (1972). Henry was born on March 7, 1918 in Kamenskaya Russia. He immigrated to Canada with his mother and his brother Peter in 1927. They settled into farming life in the Hanley district of Saskatchewan until 1948 when they moved to Manitoba. In addition to farming in St. Andrews with his wife and sons, Henry was employed at the Manitoba Rolling Mills in Selkirk until he retired in 1983. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2008 at First Mennonite Church, 920 Notre Dame Avenue, Winnipeg with viewing one hour prior to the service.
