Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID ARCHIBALD (ARCHIE) WOODHOUSE May 25, 1948 - September 19, 2008 It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law and friend; David Archibald (Archie) Woodhouse, aged 60, of Fairford, Manitoba. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 39 years, Ruth; his children, Sheila (Tony Flett), Verna Woodhouse (Levi Morse), Preston of Fairford and Leeanne Woodhouse of Winnipeg, his foster child Darrell Ryle; his grandchildren; Tyler who was his extra special pride and joy and Tyler's mother, Annette Spence, Thor, Sierra, and Channelle; his brothers, Bert (Christine) Woodhouse and Walter Woodhouse. Sisters, Jean (Ron Nobess) of Winnipeg, Rose (Nick Halaburda), Beverly (Robert McLean), Sophia (Leonard Stagg), Eileen Hunter (Art), Judy (Bruce Thurier); his brothers/sisters-in-law, Cliff and Maxine, Grace, Myrlene and Norman, Andy and Charlotte, Jean and Elmer, Lily and Gordon, Bella and Max, Annie and Alvin, Rose and Joe, Rosalie Woodhouse, Stella Woodhouse, Shirley Cranford, numerous nieces and nephews; and Mary Stagg Sr. of Dauphin River whom he called Mom. Archie had great love and commitment in serving the Lord. He was a drummer for the Fairford Gospel Band. He held annual outdoor gospel jamborees by Highway No. 6. He loved singing gospel songs and played guitar. The annointing of the Holy Spirit would be stirred up in his life as he sang. Many were touched, blessed and healed through his singing. Archie was truly a servant of the Lord. He was God's annointed! The family and many friends will forever sadly miss him. Archie had so many special friends too numerous to mention. However, we would like to make a special mention of Mark Traverse who was the last person to be with Archie. They were both on their way to Berens River to attend gospel services when suddenly and unexpectedly Archie went home to be with his Lord and Saviour. And a special mention to his very best friend, Charlie Bittern of Berens River. Charlie was always there for him. His friendship with Charlie was always very uplifting. (Thank you, Charlie). His favourite scripture was, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. Psalms 118:17 A special thank you to the St. Boniface Hospital, Dr. Walters, PD Unit nurses, especially Virginia and Leslie, and to the Ambulance attendants who arrived at the scene. We would also want to thank the owners and employees of Wamair Service Outfitting Inc. for their prompt actions in performing First Aid and CPR services to Archie. The wake service will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Fairford House of Prayer, Fairford, Manitoba with Reverend Robert R.
