OLGA ZABLUDA Our dear wife, mother and grandmother passed away Friday, September 19, 2008, at the age of 85. Left to mourn are her husband Mykola of 66 years, her daughter Louisa, son-in-law John and cherished granddaughter Natasha. She was predeceased by her sister Halia in Ukraine, sisters-in-law Emilia Lesen and Hrunia Motoch who were her constant companions, their husbands Anton Lesen and Mykola Motoch, niece Tanya Bell and nephew George Motoch. She is also survived by her sister Nadia in Ukraine, niece Lida Skyba in Australia, nephew Ihor Panchenko in Minneapolis and nephew Borys Weremijenko in Australia, with their families. Olga was born in Ukraine and lived in Germany and England before coming to Canada in 1954 with her family, to become a proud Canadian citizen. At the same time, she was faithful to her Ukrainian heritage, and it was important to her to gather her family together as often as possible for her excellent Ukrainian cooking. The family wishes to thank Kim of Home Care for her help and many kindnesses to Olga and the family. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 820 Burrows Avenue, with Fr. Michael Skrumeda and Fr. J. Buciora, celebrants. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens with a gathering of family and friends following, at Glen Eden Reception Centre. Say not that her candle has gone out. Say rather that she had no more need of it because the morning has come. Vichnaya Pamyat Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
