BERNIECE AGNES TWEEDIE (nee STEWART) Beloved Berniece passed away on September 21, 2008 after a lengthy illness. She is survived by daughter Lynn; son-in-law Gordon; grandson Stuart; granddaughter Jane and her husband Hardeep and great-grandson Isaac. Predeceased by her first husband Wallace Maclean; second husband Stuart Tweedie; and brother Warren. Born in Weyburn, SK, Berniece received her early education in Limerick, Meyronne and Assiniboia. She studied music receiving her ATCL in piano from Trinity College in London. In 1936 to 1937 she studied Arts at the University of Saskatchewan and graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1939 with her Bachelor of Arts. She worked for the National Film Board in various places including London during 1944 to 1945. Although Berniece worked for much of her life she also served as a volunteer. Music was a huge source of enjoyment in Berniece's life and she was always grateful to her parents for the opportunity to study. The family expresses its heartfelt thanks to the staff of Luther Care Communities for every kindness shown to Berniece. The memorial service will be held on the third floor at Luther Special Care Home, 1212 Osler St., Saskatoon, SK at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 26. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Parkinson's Disease Foundation, Box 102-103 Hospital Drive, Saskatoon, SK S7N 0W8. Arrangements are entrusted to the Saskatoon Funeral Home.
