Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEAH NORMAN (nee GOETZ) It is with great sorrow that the family of Leah Norman announces her passing on September 23, 2008. Leah was born in Kamsack, Saskatchewan on December 30, 1919. Remaining to cherish her memory are her sons, Keith, Grant (Barb Cape), Barry (Janice), Glen, Clark (Linda) and Lloyd (Christie), 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Leslie; brothers, Victor, Jack and Henry; sisters, Annie, Frieda and Rachel; and daughters-in-law Susan and Diane. Mom moved to Rosewood in 1933 and while working at Mourant's farm, she met Dad. They married in 1939. For a few years Mom and Dad ran the Arondale Store and then purchased the property next door to begin farming. They farmed until Dad's retirement. Mom had an incredible spirit and lived life fully. She always enjoyed a good party and spending evenings playing cards with relatives and friends. She loved her garden and cooking for her family. There was always enough food for company at meal times. In her later years, Mom loved to square dance as much as she could. Friday night was the highlight of her week, playing cards at the Anola Over 50 Club that she attended faithfully until her health began to fail this past spring. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of River East Personal Care Home for their kindness and care. Funeral will be held Saturday, September 27 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. 1 East and Navin Road.
