PETER FRIESEN It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Peter Friesen on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at the age of 77 years. Loving husband of Joyce (nee Giesbrecht) for 49 years. Loving father of Barbara, Gordon (Jacquie), Donna (Ken), and David (Errin). Devoted grandfather of Matthew, Michael, Rhianna, Jared, Jeremy and Noah. He also leaves to mourn his brothers Vic and Frank (Linda), sister-in-law Nitha as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Peter was predeceased by his parents Maria (Loewen) and Berhard Friesen, sister Mary and brother George. The family extends their gratitude to the devoted staff at Riverview Centre for their care and compassion. A memorial service will be held at the Charleswood Mennonite Church, 699 Haney Street on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined, in lieu donations may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
