Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALEX STROSS It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alex Stross on September 23, 2008, at the age of 92 years. Alex was born on August 15, 1916 on the family farm a few miles east of Sheho, SK. He spent his early years farming in Sheho and then moved to Winnipeg where he worked for the City of Winnipeg. In his later years he was employed by Sears Canada. Alex was a dedicated member of the Kirkfield Park Baptist Church and most recently when he was able, he attended the Heritage Baptist Church. Alex was truly loved by all his family. His kindness and generosity will be missed by all who knew him. Alex is survived by his sisters Jean Winchester of South Carolina and Lucy Olchowecki of Winnipeg. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Victoria Struss and Delma Struss and by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Matthew and Katherine; brothers and sisters Sophie Shychoski, Matt Struss, Lena Struss, Mary Berezowski, Andrew Struss, John Struss, Katie Haras and Anne Prychak. The family would like to thank all of Alex's home care workers. We would also like to thank Dr. John Moncek and all the staff on unit 4, 5th floor, Seven Oaks General Hospital for taking good care of Alex during his final days. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 29 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Inkster with Pastor K. Daryl Rempel as officiant. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alex's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg MB R3L 0K6 or to a charity of your choice. 586-8044
