Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRIS JAMES WILLCOX It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Chris Willcox on Saturday, September 6, 2008 after a battle with cancer. Chris is survived by his ex-wife Maureen, daughter Nicole (16 years) and son Dustin (13 years) of Winnipeg. Also his brother John Willcox of Seattle, Washington, and brother-in- law Mike Galle of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his parents Ted and Joan Willcox. Chris was born in England and moved to Canada with his family when he was three years old. He grew up in Thompson, MB till his family moved to Winnipeg. Chris obtained employment with the City of Winnipeg Water Department where he worked for over 20 years. He married Maureen in August 1995 and together they raised two beautiful children, Nicole and Dustin. Chris spent his last year of life living in Lillooet, BC where he was surrounded by the beautiful scenery of mountains and rivers. Chris loved his rockin blues music and was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburg Steelers. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October, 4 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Burial service will take place at St. Margarets Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
