STANLEY STUPAK 1913 - 2008 On Saturday, September 27, 2008 with family by his side, Stan passed into the Lord's presence. It was such a blessing that Walter, Elsie, Ilona and Wendy made it to see him before his departure. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Gwen, brothers Martin, John, Frank and sister Jessie, and many of Gwen's brothers and sisters that he was close to. He is survived by his brother Walter and wife Elsie, many nieces and nephews and treasured friends. Particularly, Teenie Dorset and son Bruce who were neighbors for over 50 years and shared so much together, Millie and Charlie Epson, and Carol and Bill Waldie. Stan was born in 1913 in Winnipeg and raised in Selkirk, Manitoba. He and Gwen were married in 1944. He served in the Canadian Army in the Second World War. He was a loyal employee of the Canadian Pacific Railway for many years. He served in various capacities until his retirement . He enjoyed retirement for 30 years. Stan was kind, generous and hard working. He had a green thumb and an ability to fix anything, which was seen in many of his renovation projects. Everything he owned was kept in pristine condition. He enjoyed golf, spectator sports of all kinds, and card playing, particularly cribbage. He valued his family and friends, especially his precious Gwensy . Their love for one another was such an example of caring and honor. Stan struggled with Alzheimers the last few years, but still continued to reach out to others and maintain his pleasant disposition. He was so easy to love.
