JOSEPH VICTOR CHAMPAGNE It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Victor Champagne after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family, on September 25, 2008 at 10:30 p.m. at the St. Anne Hospital at the age of 72. Predeceased by his father Joseph; mother Dora and brother Jean-Paul and sister Lucille. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Dolores Champagne; son Claude (Nikki) and daughters Diane (Luc), Line, Lise (Everett), 12 grandchildren and one great-child; brother Louis (Shirley) and Gerard, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, friends Joseph was born in Richer, MB and had many hobbies including biking, sports, hunting, gardening and the outdoors. Prayers and Viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 30 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joachim Roman Catholic Church. in La Broquerie. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 1 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joachim Roman Catholic Church in La Broquerie, MB, MSG Frechette presiding. Special thanks to Cancer Care of Manitoba and St. Anne Hospital, especially Nurse Jo-Anne. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joseph's name to CancerCare Manitoba.
