MIKE KOTCHON 1925 - 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the age of 83 years. Left to treasure his memory is his loving wife of 60 years, June; his children Brian, Bonnie (Darrel) Danyluk, Calgary; John (Tannis), Calgary and Gerry; his grandchildren Sean (Aimée), Michelle Danyluk, Florida; Mark (Lindsay) Danyluk, Norway; Robert Danyluk, Calgary; Jared Kotchon and Lindsey Kotchon, Edmonton and his great-grandchildren Mason and Jocelyn Kotchon. He will be missed by his brothers Ted (Julie) Kozan, Garson; and Frank (Anita) Kotchon, St. Albert, AB; and his sisters-in-law Nettie Kotchon and Joan Kotchon and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Mary, sisters Louise (Peter) Stepaniuk and Frances (Walter) Zinnick, his brothers Clem, Walter and Raymond, his grandson Ryan Bradford and June's brother Bill and sister-in-law Irene Bourgeault. Mike was born on September 10, 1925 in Melrose, MB. He married June in 1947 and lived in Garson where he was very active in the community. He retired from the CNR in 1984 and enjoyed raising pigeons, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. His great grandchildren brought special joy to the last few years as did the family dog, Murphy. A memorial service celebrating Mike's life will be held on Wednesday, October 1 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour with Rev. Chris Jordan presiding. Interment will follow in the Garson Community Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. L. Wozney, Dr. Pat Harris, the Concordia Oncology Unit, the Beausejour Ambulance Service and Dr. Van Rensburg and the Emergency staff at the Beausejour Hospital.
