EMMA MARTHA MATHEWS October 28, 1917 - September 28, 2008 Martha passed away peacefully Sunday morning at the age of 90 years. She was predeceased by her mother, Emma, and her sister, Ruth, in 1922, her father, Karl Bangart and half brother Jimmy in 1940, her husband, Lawrence and son Anthony in 1983, her grandson, Dallyn in 2000, her son, Thomas in 2001 and her great-grandson, Brandon in 2004. She is survived by two sisters, Paulina Fisher in Alberta and Mable Oswald in Steinbach; her children, Lawrence (Rose), Patrick (Gisele), Teresa, Philomena (Maurice), Mary (Marc), Blaise (Marilyn), Bridget (Daryl), Joseph (Rose), and Elizabeth (Jim). She also leaves behind 23 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Prayers will be led by Father Mark Drozniak at Green Acres Funeral Home. The Holy Rosary will be held at 7:10 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 followed by the prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Beausejour with Father Mark Drozniak presiding. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Beausejour, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations in Martha's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
