Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMILY (DOLLY) ROBERTSON With great sadness and with faith that she has gone to be with her Lord, the family of Emily Robertson announces that she was Promoted to Glory from Golden West Centennial Lodge on Thursday, September 25, 2008. Emily was predeceased by her husband, James Robertson, parents Julius and Anna Block, brothers Emery and James Block, and sister Virginia Blake. She is survived by sisters Ethel Lamont and Vera Sampson; children Heather Robson (Gary) of Winnipeg, Dennis Robertson (Rose) of Calgary, and Gerald Robertson (Heather) of Flin Flon; grandchildren Kristen Lee (Cliff), Paul Robson, Rebecca Robson, Brandi Jo Langan (Chris), Jamie Strelezki (Darren), and Evan Robertson; great grandchildren Dexter, Bobi, Ryley, Sydney, Dylan, and Ben. Emily was born June 9, 1920 in Aiktow, SK and lived in Flin Flon since the age of 9. She worked for several years in the mill and payroll department of the HBM S mine in Flin Flon. Emily was a lifetime member of the Salvation Army. Whether with family or church, she always showed her generous spirit. She had a great love of baking that she shared with many in her community. In her retirement years, she loved to travel, including trips to the British Isles, the Panama Canal, the Maritimes, and Disneyland. A special spot was the cabin at Lake Athapap built by her husband in the 1950s. Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Salvation Army Heritage Park Temple, 825 School Rd., Winnipeg.
