EVELYN JUNE PIPER June 4, 1924 - September 26, 2008 With Jesus It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother. Always sweet and loving, Evelyn devoted her life to the Lord, her family and to her cat, Lady. Playing hymns on the piano brought her much comfort. She also enjoyed embroidery work for many years and was a great cook. Evelyn was predeceased by her loving husband, Bill, and eldest son Curtis. Left behind to cherish her memory are two remaining sons, David (Peggy) and Ron; four daughters, Bonnie (Steve), Janet (Alan), Julie (Cliff) and Karen (Harold); daughter-in-law Dawn and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also left behind are her three remaining siblings from Ontario - Alfred, Fred and Margaret Rose. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2008 between 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. A celebration of Evelyn's life will be held on Friday, October 3, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery. A special thank you to home care staff and overnight caregivers who made our mother's life more comfortable. Also thank you to the day program at Seven Oaks Hospital. Our mother's deepest desire was to be with Jesus and to have us follow and meet again with her and our father and loved ones. Evelyn's soul is now at peace and her life complete. We will forever miss the joy she added to our lives.
