Douglas was predeceased by his parents; William and Florence, sister Wilma; and sons Barry and Danny; he leaves his wife of 59 years, Nellie; daughters Shirley and Pamella; grandchildren Christian and Jamie. Doug was born December 2, 1923. He honorably served his country in active combat in the Second World War. He was a man of dignity, decency, courage and humor; with a passionate love for his family and life. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with reception to follow. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
