WILMA MAREK (BIALEK) Wilma Marek, beloved wife of Joseph Marek of Beausejour, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2008 at the Beausejour Hospital. Left to mourn, is her husband Joseph of 58 years, brother Michael Bialek, children, Karen (Mark) Johnson, Donna (David) Oike, Joseph (Brenda) Marek, Christopher Marek, Christine (Gordon) Hemminger, Sandra (Rob) Marek, Linda (Paul) Marek, and Robert Marek, grandchildren, Lisa (Mark) Leochko, Amber (Doug) Vincent, Joseph (Krystal) Marek, and Amy (Gord) Hemminger, great-grandchildren, Ella, Petra, Taryn, Cole, and Jacob, and a large extended family. Wilma was predeceased by infant son George, parents Mary (Sliva) and John Bialek; and brother Edward Bialek. She was born and raised in Garson, Manitoba, married Joseph Marek on April 22, 1950. Wilma was a dedicated mother and wife, well known and liked for her quick smile, wit and helpful hand. She was a longtime member of the CWL and Beau-Head Seniors Centre. Private family service and interment has taken place. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations may be made in Wilma's memory to St. Mary's Church Building Fund or the Beausejour Hospital. The family extends their appreciation to Dr. Schmidt for her care and compassion, the staff and doctors of Beausejour Hospital, NEHA staff for their help, dedication and guidance during this very difficult time for the family, Jean, Stan, Joyce, Arley, Evelyn, Mike, and Edna, thank you for always being there when we needed you, and for looking out for Dad.
